Iowa Legislature Returns to Work
The 2008 Iowa General Assembly will convene on Monday,
January 14. I am looking forward to getting back to work
at the Statehouse. Please stay in touch on issues and
concerns as the session swings into action.
Iowa Health Care Commission Makes Recommendations
The Iowa Affordable Health Care Plans for Small
Businesses & Families Commission will meet for the
eighth time in Des Moines next week. The Commission
approved a series of reports from sub-committees in
December that will make up the final report

The next meeting of the Commission is January 8. At
that time a final report is expected to be voted on.
The Iowa General Assembly will convene on January 14,
2008 and begin work on these health care reform ideas.
